- I am also having disconnect problems and have had no luck in
- getting USR to respond to e-mail. How they ever got selected as
- a "Best Buy or Editor's choice" is beyond me.

- But the only fix that I have come up with is to turn Compression
- OFF in the Windows 95 properties of my PPP connection. This of
- course affects performance, but the modem stays connected.

- Hey USR, are you still in business? Please response to people's
- request for information on what seems to be a problem model of
- your modems.

- Also anybody that has a recently purchased Sportster with
- 10/18/95 firmware or later and using Windows 95 PPP check modem
- log and see if you have compression ON?
